Sumitra Mahajan, a prominent and successful politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, made history by becoming the first female to serve eight consecutive terms as a Member of Parliament from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Throughout her political career, she held several significant positions, including serving as Speaker of the 16th Lok Sabha and the Chairperson of various parliamentary committees.
